Maiskogel

Maiskogel is ideal for family trips - in winter it features family-friendly slopes and in summer it is predestined for family hikes with its panorama platform and the many playgrounds.

It is directly connected with Kitzsteinhorn and the center of Kaprun - the 3K K-ONNECTION makes that possible.

Maisi Flitzer

One of Maiskogel's main attractions is the Maisi Flitzer. The alpine roller coaster is located at the Maiskogelbahn valley station. On the 1,300 m-long run one rides for about 12 minutes - and can reach a speed of up to 40 km/h. One can, however, regulate the speed oneself.

The Maisi Flitzer is extremely safe. It has automatic distance control and in this way prevents any unintended running into each other. Children aged 3 to 7 years ride accompanied by an adult, children from the age of 8 years and a height of over 1.25 m may go in their own toboggan.

The Maisi Flitzer is in season 365 days a year. In summer, the family & leisure park with its bouncer castle and slides paradise is also open.

High Tauern National Park

Austria's largest protected area stretches over 3 provinces and is simultaneously the oldest national park in Austria. High Tauern National Park has much to offer:

Top of Salzburg

A view that usually only alpinists get to see, is available on Kitzsteinhorn as part of a comfy day trip. Due to the cable car, the summit is easily reached. Here the atmosphere of the glacier can be experienced all year round.

Ice Arena

The Ice Arena offers, especially in summer, the possibility to enjoy snow. Sleds and slide sheets can be borrowed for free on-site. The snow beach has loungers to relax in the sun in and the Ice Arena Snack Bar provides food and drink.

The Ice Arena is easily reached by taking the Gipfelbahn and Gletscherjet 3 and 4 cable cars and is located right underneath the observation deck.

Ice Camp Presented by Audi

From January until late into spring, the ICE CAMP offers an exceptional igloo world made of ice and snow. Each year, a complete work of art is created on the sunny plateau on an altitude of 2,600 m. Here you can marvel at the ice art, enjoy some snacks & drinks in the Ice Bar, and visit the Audi showroom.

Cinema 3000

In Austria's highest-situated movie theater you can dive into the virtual world of High Tauern National Park. On the 8 meter-wide screen in the summit station of Kitzsteinhorn the multiply-awarded film "Kitzsteinhorn - THE NATURE" can be viewed. The film is shown all year long, free of charge!
